Living in Switzerland can make online shopping a little complicated.
Because we’re not part of the European Union and Swiss customs charge duties on imports over around 60 Francs, purchasing products from other countries is far less feasible.
Super-smart on the part of Swiss customs right! but OH SO frustrating for those of us who spy deals on Amazon, or long to order from the more economical German market.
Having said that – it’s entirely possible to get all the basics you need within Switzerland. You just need to know where to go.
Here are a few of our go-to’s:
You will be amazed at the range of gluten-free/lactose free products available on this site. I am still trawling through the stock finding unheard of mixes and products.
Delivery is free within Switzerland from 80 Francs.
This site stocks a huge range of super-food and gluten-free products. The site allows users to search products based on very specific dietary requirements.
If you order cold storage products, the postie will turn up with a big yellow cooler box that they then return to the store after you’ve taken out your precious goods. I love companies who try to save on excess packaging!
A smaller range than the previous sites, but has most of the basics you need, and a nice, clean site layout.
Delivery is free from 150 Francs.
This is more natural supplement than grocery store. However because I regularly purchase a particular brand of protein powder here I will often top up my order with some coconut oil, spirulina, or cacao.
A handy site to know about.
Additionally, shipping is free within Switzerland from only 60 Francs.
